GOD’S BREATH

Breathe on me, Thou Breath of God,
For when Your Spirit burns through me;
He cleans out all not right.

And though to be like You, oh Lord,
Is now my heart’s desire,
I know that I am fleshly too,
And fearful of Your fire.

So take me gently by the hand,
Show me what I must see;
The things that must be driven out,
That I might grow like Thee.

WHY?

Why do we see the sun, and not the light?
Why in the world, must there always be a fight?
Why can mankind, never live aright?
God knows.

Why do we keep our hearts and eyes downcast?
Why let days and years, in haste, rush past?
Why not turn to the words of truth, that last?
God shows.

Why should we try to walk, the narrow way?
Why should we listen, to what God has to say?
Why should we read His Book, every day?
God grows.

Why should we offer a hand of love?
Why pray for healing from above?
Why speak of the Spirit, sweet, gentle dove?
God flows.

Why was there ever a Calvary?
Why did Jesus’ death set us free?
Why at His Name, do demons flee?
God overthrows!

Why did God choose to create mankind?
Why in each of us does He pleasure find?
Why the whole of our lives, with His love, does He bind?
Only God knows!!

My God

My God is Light and Love and Truth,
My God is always there for me.
He fills my heart, my head with song,
And lives within me all day long.

The Lord of heaven lives with me,
It’s hard to understand,
But when I put my trust in Him,
He gently takes my hand.

He’s there to guide, to prompt, to lead,
But never force my will.
If I can only trust in Him,
Till death, He’ll guide me still.

And when death’s door is opened wide,
I’ll meet Him on the other side.
My soul’s joy then will be complete,
My Lord, my Love and I will meet.

Psalm 95:1-2O come, let us sing unto the Lord: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation. Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.
